Gentrification and African Presence in Peckham (GAPP) walking tour highlights the spaces occupied by the Caribbean community, 1960 – 1990. The pinnacle of the walking tour contextualises the significant educational, recreational and cultural spaces which shaped Peckham’s social, cultural, political and economic history over a defined period. Each Caribbean heritage landmark illuminates the entwined history and impact on the economic, social and cultural capital of Peckham.

The GAPP walk is conducted by founder and CEO Dr Charmaine Brown and lasts for about 1.5 hours. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
